"How Delta Force Works" by Josh Clark - Howstuffworks.com

I loved this article. Howstuffworks.com takes you through the history, selection process, training, and missions of Delta Force, the most elite unit in the US Army--and perhaps the entire military. Not really much else to say except that these guys are badass and you will like reading about them.

  2. Simple son. SEALs are in the Navy, I said Delta was the most elite in the Army, and "perhaps in the entire military". Delta Force and SEAL Team Six serve the same function—hostage rescue and high-risk, close-quarters fighting—and are considered equals, though technically Delta deals with land based missions and Team Six has sovereignty in maritime missions.

  3. you're about to get poop-served, no clue ninja. first, off top, "perhaps in the entire military" is the part of your statement my comment was aimed at, obvi. second, delta deals with land, and seals (sea, air + land) deal with all that shit. as far as i can recall, the mission in pakistan was on land. looks like seal team 6 has more sovereignty ey'where. check yo'self before you wreck yo'self, no clue.

  4. I can say with a fair amount of certainty that you would be hard pressed to find any expert who would say bar none either group is better trained and equipped or gets harder missions than the other, as both groups are considered the very tip of the military spear, with only CIA SAD above them, I believe. That being said, I am also quite certain that Delta Force members are extremely proficient in the air and in the water. And saying that, as to badassery, I will refer you to this passage, form the article.

"The Delta Force is one of two military outfits in the United States charged with counterterrorist operations. Like the other, the Navy's Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU), Delta Force can deploy at a moment's notice. But unlike DEVGRU, Delta Force doesn't officially exist."

Now you tell me who won, you see Delta Force, you run.
